Supply Chain Maintenance Specialist (2nd shift)
About the job
Performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the warehouse processes. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds warehouse equipment as required (primarily conveyor, stretch wrappers, case sealers, banding equipment). Performs equipment modifications as directed by supply chain engineers. May use predictive maintenance technologies and techniques in order to improve operational efficiencies. Executes work related to a variety of small projects related to warehouse process improvements (work station assembly, pallet rack/shelving assembly, pallet rack repair).
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience.
2 years of experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking or equivalent of competency attained through appropriate training curriculum.
Preferred Experience
5 years previous experience in maintenance or equivalent military training.
Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems including Allen Bradley PLCs
Previous experience and knowledge working on conveyor systems and ancillary equipment used in picking and packing warehouse operations.
Able to perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities using precision maintenance techniques.
Ability to work overtime outside the normal schedule to provide support to cover vacations and weekend work.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems while working alone.
Good written/verbal communication skills.
Effective customer service skills.
