Human Performance in the Biotech World

How do you take human performance fundamentals and transfer the concepts to biotech manufacturing? This presentation will focus on how specific examples of process deviation led to the expansion of a course, originally designed for a local audience of 20 to reach over 500+ employees, across 10 sites, 6 countries, and 3 continents. Key insights will include how to make theory less abstract and very consumable and approach on how participants are encouraged to apply their learning after initial training.

About the Speaker

Bill Cafiero earned a Chemical Engineering degree from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Arts in 1996. For the last 25 years, Bill has worked exclusively in the biotech industry with multiple major manufacturers. Bill spent the first 20 years working in Automation, but in the spring of 2016 received a calling into the Human Performance world. In the past 5 years, Bill has not only savored his successes in preaching Human Performance; but, has treasured the learning experiences gained from his challenges in delivering the concepts and understanding of Human Performance.
